What is a HERBAIR® unit and what does it offer?
The HERBAIR® unit is a 1m wide x 2m high x 80mm deep living plant wall unit that can sustain and grow two removable and replaceable panels of living herbs within it. The units are all manufactured from a single sheet of Plastisol coated steel which is available in a range of colours and is made to last for up to 25 years. Each unit has its own built in micro chip controlled air, feed and lighting system and requires some, but very little, maintenance.
Each of our HERBAIR® wall units has the ability to remove pollution as well as reduce the viral load of airborne pathogens. Like any living plants this herb/moss mix produces clean fresh oxygen.

One of the easiest ways that people can reduce pollution on an individual level is by growing plants that help the environment. Our HERBAIR® units contain 80 evergreen herb plants, which are all beneficial to the environment all year round. NATURALLY ANTIBACTERIAL
It's a well known fact that many plants, especially herbs, are antibacterial. A lesser known fact is that they use their antibacterial qualities every day whilst growing. Using the process of photosynthesis the plants pull in air, they do this to consume CO2 and other pollutants, enabling them to grow. Whilst undergoing this process some plants (like the herbs and moss in our HERBAIR® units) have naturally occurring essential oils within them that have antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. Basically every time the plants breathe in air they naturally filter out CO2, viruses and bacteria from the air, releasing oxygen and lowering the viral load in the air each time.

Planting herbs attracts important pollinators into your garden, which will, in turn, attract birds and small mammals looking for a meal. Every HERBAIR® units contain flowering herbs such as Rosemary, Thyme, Lavender and Mint which are all very attractive to Pollinators.
PERFECT BALANCE
In nature, there is a perfect balance between the flora and fauna, with consumption of oxygen and carbon dioxide by the fauna and the consumption of carbon dioxide and release of oxygen by the flora. It is a give and take relationship in which people/animals (fauna) enhance the environment for flora, and flora enhances the environment for people. However, this perfect balance has been out of sorts since the introduction of the burning of fossil fuels and from deforestation. The problem is two-fold, with extra carbon dioxide being released at levels in just a few centuries that are equivalent to that of millions of years of natural processes.
