What is a SEDUMAIR® unit and what does it offer?
The SEDUMAIR® unit is a 1m wide x 2m high x 80mm deep living plant wall unit that can sustain and grow two removable and replaceable panels of living Sedum succulents within it. The SEDUMAIR® units are all UK manufactured from a single sheet of Plastisol coated steel which is available in a range of colours and is made to last for up to 25 years. Each unit has its own built in micro chip controlled air, feed and lighting system and requires some, but very little, maintenance.
Each of our SEDUMAIR® wall units has the ability to remove pollution with a large focus on PM2.5 & PM10. Like any living plants this Sedum succulent mix produces clean fresh oxygen.

IMPROVED AIR QUALITY
Sedum succulent plants are good at Absorbing carbon dioxide and pollutants, being particularly good at absorbing Particulate Matter (PM2.5 & PM10). The vegetation in our
SEDUMAIR® wall units binds dust and toxic particles helping to filter out smog. Nitrates and other harmful materials are absorbed by the plants and within the substrate filtering out these toxic pollutants and heavy metals. This also helps improve local air quality, which can benefit both humans and animals. These units require only very minimal care to keep them working hard.
COOL CITY ISLAND
The heat island effect is a term used to describe higher air and structure temperatures in an urban setting as opposed to the lower temperatures found in more rural areas. With fewer trees in cities and large communities solar energy is more readily absorbed into manmade structures, causing higher urban area temperatures. SEDUMAIR® walls reflect less solar radiation and absorb less heat than regular walls, they have the effect of reducing the urban heat island effect. Urban heat island effect decreases air quality and increases the production of pollutants such as ozone. It all also decreases water quality as warmer waters flow into area streams and put tress on their ecosystems.
NOISE REDUCTION
SEDUMAIR® wall units can potentially half the amount of noise pollution entering your home or office, perfect for those seeking peace in busy and urban areas. The plants within the unit absorb sound instead of reflecting it, they can absorb up to 8dB, and are proven to be very effective in noisy areas. When added into our self contained units, both high and low frequency noise is reduced, making these great building and roadside sound barriers.
WATER CONSERVATION
SEDUMAIR® units contain a mix of both summer and winter active plants and they can live with very little water, it makes these units ideal for areas where water supply is a major issue, such as motorway roadsides and perimeter fencing. It also makes them ideal for areas where water conservation is needed and areas with regularly high temperatures. Our units are self regulating and due to the nature of Sedum plants these units water the plants much less frequently, often relying on natural sources of water.
When adding SEDUMAIR® units to your local habitat you will develop a clean air environment which is not only reduces harmful ozone gases but also has a positive effect on reducing airborne dust and harmful particulate matter. Each unit grows a mix sedum succulent plants that need little water and can withstand long hot and dry periods.
